Arsenal and Manchester City Game PostponedBy Menzilla | March 12, 2020
A lot of games and sports events were postponed because of the coronavirus outbreak. One of these is the match between Arsenal and Manchester City.
The game was set on Wednesday but the organizers decided to postpone it as a precautionary measure. It was also because Olympiacos owner Evangelos Marinakis got the virus so everyone who was in contact with him is now self-isolating at home.
Also, the staff of Olympiacos is tested negative of the virus which is good news. Marinakis then decided to speak up on in his Instagram account,
“The recent virus has ‘visited’ me and I felt obliged to let the public know. I feel good as I take all the necessary measures and I discipline (according) to the doctors’ instructions. I strongly advice (sic) all my fellow citizens to do the same. I wish all a quick recovery.”
The Wolves also released a statement regarding what happened.
“Our position is that the trip poses unnecessary risks to our players, staff, supporters and the families of all who travel, at such critical and uncertain times. Our concern is also for our opponents, whose players and staff have today been tested, and will now be expected to play their part in an important fixture, under the difficult and challenging circumstances of their owner suffering with the virus.”
